The Office of the Auditor-General has been honoured by the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee (INTOSAI-CBC) for successful and effective use of the Supreme Audit Institution –Performance Measurement Framework (SAI-PMF) assessment tool.
SAI-PMF is a self-assessment tool used by Supreme Audit Institutions to monitor and evaluate their performance and identify areas of improvement. It is conducted after every five years.
During her acceptance speech, the Auditor-General, Nancy Gathungu, appreciated the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) for the vast support towards the implementation of the SAI-PMF tool.
The new Website is easy to navigate, user-friendly and can be accessed on any web-enabled device. A team of experts from the Office, developed the Website.
“I am delighted that SAI Kenya has been recognized for our successful and effective use of the SAI-PMF assessment tool,” the Auditor-General said.
She noted that the Office, through support from IDI, was able to go through the trainings, carry out the process of self-assessment and finalized the report, which has been shared with stakeholders through the Office’s Annual Corporate Report of 2019/2020, available on the website
